Otter Fonds is a foundation, in Dutch a ‘stichting’, established under Dutch law. The Otter Fonds has an ANBI status.
How can I apply for a grant
We do not have calls for proposals and do not consider unsolicited proposals.
Is the otter the focus species of the Otter Fonds?
No, the Otter Fonds has no specific focus on the otter or other individual species, but on the health of entire ecosystems and enhancing the biodiversity within.
What type of costs does a grant cover?
Grants cover human resources, equipment, services, and other costs related to the project. We are aware of the difficulty to cover salaries or less attractive yet essential costs, therefore we accommodate for such costs when the figures are realistic, and their rationale is well explained.
Do I need to be a registered NGO to be able to apply for a grant?
Yes, we do not transfer grants to single individuals, governmental entities or for-profit organizations. Only registered not-for-profit organization or civil society groups are eligible.
